2. A NEED ANALYSIS AMONG TEACHERS, COMPANIES AND APPRENTICES TO LIST IMPROVEMENT NEEDS
The objective of this second step of the project was to investigate which key improvements of the CAAP process the VET-units in the three partner countries had to develop and implement, in order to strengthen their collaboration with companies and other concerned actors on their territory.
The methodology proposed was to organize, in each country, three seminars for each of the core actors of the CAAP-process: VET-unit teams, companies and apprentices. The objective of the seminars was to make the respective target groups to work out development needs regarding the mapped CAAP-process and especially regarding their mutual interaction in the frame of this process.
Each team decided in which way they wanted to organize this work and got questionnaires to be used as a basis for questioning and discussing with the different seminars participants. The teams organised seminars (Italy, Sweden) as well as distributed questionnaires and made interviews (Sweden, France).
On the basis of the results of this first step, the teams expanded, in a second time, their investigations towards new targets. The Italian team addressed questionnaires to families and to local Institutions. The French team addressed a questionnaire to a new group of apprentices. The Swedish team decided to address a questionnaire to all the apprentices making it as a routine practice for the future. Interviews were made with local companies in different sectors. A meeting was organised with the local orientation counsellors and another with the communal administration in charge of local business development.
Sharing their results at a transnational meeting, the three national teams collectively drawn up a list of improvement needs regarding their respective CAAP-process. At this step of the work, the partners went to focus on the interactions betweens schools and companies for the moments of creation, of orientation and of integration and learning at the work place
